Our work aims:

1. To experiment learning methods developing Self-Regulated Learning Process in a lifelong learner autonomy perspective and to provide new opportunities for professional and self-development based on the concept of ortfolio, recommendation, and quantitative / qualitative data collection.

2. To study new Semantic Open Learner Models for capturing, managing, sharing, etc., personal learning data. In our context, personal learning data are data owned and controlled by people themselves.

3. To develop Trusted Collaborative Services that empowers learners, by combining self-development and social knowledge and by fostering collaborative activities in communities.

4. To develop an experimental infrastructure that will manage learner models, enable collaborative trusted services while preserving data privacy.

 

Our work packages will fit these objectives in order to foster interdisciplinary between our 3 research teams. In order to enhance collaboration between partners, we will take a Design-Based research approach [Wang-Hamafin 2005], which is agile, pragmatic and integrative. Real-life experimentations to explore new methods and tools for enhancing autonomy, self-directed learning and self-development, as well to provide feedback and services proposal, will be conducted. Several prototypes will be developed according to experimentation fields including progressively method support, extended student models and

user feedbacks.
